A Small Family Business that Grew Into a Large Family Business

For more than 70 years, one name has been synonymous with the finest quality veal and lamb products in the U.S.: Catelli. It was in 1946 that Anthony P. Catelli, Sr. started his veal and lamb wholesale business in Philadelphia, PA, enjoying considerable success as he built a loyal customer base. Sons Tony and Jim, carrying on their Dad’s tradition of family-oriented service and superior product quality, launched Catelli Brothers in 1981. Tony Catelli is the President and CEO of the firm, which is part of Fontelli Food Group, the largest vertically integrated veal and lamb company in North America.

Now Part of an Even Larger Family

Catelli Brothers is the U.S. Meat Division of Fontelli Food Group, an international food organization headquartered in Canada. The company is owned by the Fontaine family that has been farming and producing the finest quality veal and lamb for more than 30 years.

As part of the largest vertically integrated veal and lamb supplier in North America, the organization oversees every phase of production from farm to table.

The operating philosophy is simple: by carefully controlling and integrating each stage in the production process, the company is able to continually offer consumers safe, nutritious and tasty quality products.

The Catelli Brothers state-of-the-art processing facility in New Jersey—along with its sister processor in Canada, Montpak International—distributes veal and lamb and other specialty meat products to retailers and food service providers throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and beyond.
