Catelli Brothers Family of Foods is the U.S. Meat Division of Préval AG, an international agri-food company with more than 45 subsidiaries whose activities include animal husbandry and abattoir operations for veal, beef and lamb, transportation and meat processing, as well as large scale crop and horticulture production and grain processing. Headquartered in Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec, Préval AG currently has more than 1,800 employees in Canada, the United States and South America. The company is owned by the Fontaine family that has been farming and producing the finest quality veal and lamb for more than 30 years.
Préval AG oversees every phase of production from farm to table. The operating philosophy is simple: by carefully controlling and integrating each stage in the production process, the company is able to continually offer consumers safe, nutritious and tasty quality products.
The Catelli Brothers state-of-the-art processing facilities in New Jersey and Masachusetts—along with its sister processor in Canada, Montpak International—distributes veal and lamb and other specialty meat products to retailers and food service providers throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and beyond.
Préval AG has expanded significantly in recent years and will continue to do so by acquiring other food and agricultural organizations such as field companies, market gardening, grain and meat processing. The goal is to continue to be a leader in the international agri-food industry.
