Meat Production Supervisor

A Production Supervisor must efficiently work in a challenging fast paced environment with excellence. Demonstrating the ability to support the operations staff. The ability to ensure all SSOP, HACCP and GMP standards are being met to guarantee a quality product. This position will report to the Plant Manager.
  • Efficiently work in a challenging fast paced environment with excellence. Demonstrate the ability to support the operations staff.
  • Responsible for all meat cutting operations which include production planning, scheduling and employee training in the case ready/portion dept.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper product presentation and yield standards are met all times.
  • Coordinate and manage staffing issues to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Review all SSOP, HACCP and GMP standards and procedures to guarantee product wholesomeness.
  • Ability to build a solid team of employees and keep team spirit and moral up with open communication.
  • Review all evaluations and hiring needs in the case ready/portion departments.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and the sales team to ensure the quality of our product.
  • Perform other task and projects as directed.
    • Experience in the wholesale environment working on a case ready cutting operation a PLUS but not mandatory. Strong retail Meat Managers are encouraged to apply.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining the safety of our workforce as a high priority
    • Must be able to work in a multicultural plant

Education / Training
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.
Related Experience/Requirements
  • A Minimum 5 yrs experience in meat production or as a retail meat manager with journeyman skill sets
Physical Requirements
  • Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs, must be able to step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed
  • Work in a cold refrigerated environment.
