Utility Maintenance Mechanic āCā
As a Utility Maintenance Mechanic, you are responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment. Your duties include general landscaping, fixing and/or maintaining machinery, plumbing, heating. Your role involves performing tasks indoors and outdoors to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in creating a clean and orderly space. The role will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. The back for the role is the Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties
General upkeep and minor repairs throughout the facility
Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose and repair broken assets.
Paint and stains indoors and outdoors as necessary.
Keep hand tools, power tools, and supplies organized and clean.
In charge of landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming trees, and planting flowers.
Inspect and PM safety preventative equipment including but not limited to eye wash stations, fire extinguishers, salt bins etc....
Shovels and plows snow, and salts sidewalks and parking lots before employees arrive
Maintains building systems, performs general machine maintenance, including oil changes on lawn equipment
Maintain accurate records of performed maintenance tasks.
Follow safety precautions and adhere to the set schedule.
Keep inventory of supplies.
All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Physically capable of lifting 60 pounds.
Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawnmowers, and small hand tools.
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
Must be trustworthy, responsible, and dependable.
Ability to organize workload and complete duties with minimum direct supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work while maintaining a high priority to safety.
Education / Training
High school diploma or GED required.
Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.

Related Experience/Requirements
Minimum 2-4 yrs. experience in maintenance preferred
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift to 60 lbs. must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders as needed.
