It is a long-standing source of family pride that the Catelli Brothers brand is rooted in the maintenance of quality in all aspects of our business as a veal and lamb wholesaler. We demand quality in our products and we recognize that quality products are the result of recruiting and retaining quality people at all levels of our company. It is because of our people—from producers to meat cutters to packers to drivers to sales personnel—that we have a daily commitment to product quality and safety.
Our facilities in the U.S. and Canada have both earned SQF certification, recognized worldwide by retailers and food service providers who require rigorous, credible food safety management systems.
Clean and safe meat processing is achieved at our state-of-the-art facilities that enable us to meet or exceed the USDA food safety program as well as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) requirements. It all starts with food safety training. All staff receives continuous training throughout their employment.
We use the latest technology for pathogen interventions, which are verified daily with comprehensive testing procedures. Ongoing third-party food safety and animal welfare audits consistently rate Catelli as “Excellent,” demonstrating adherence to the highest in safety standards.
Catelli Brothers verifies the history, location and processing of all our food products by means of documented recorded identification.
All production is monitored throughout our integrated supply chain. We follow livestock movements from farm of origin to final destination, including 24/7 third party remote video surveillance and auditing of handling and processing procedures, developed in coorperation with Dr. Temple Grandin, world-recognized humane animal handling authority.
