Information Technology Specialist

The Information Technology Specialist provides primary support of hardware and software solutions. Expertise to resolves user problems presented from the end users. Additionally, this role will provide support for network equipment, phone systems, and other IT infrastructure. This role will report to the IT Director. The back up for the role will be the IT Director.
 
Duties Assist staff with Perform installation, troubleshooting, relocation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines

Monitor and complete all support and project IT related tasks and activities within a production \ manufacturing environment.  Enter, monitor and complete all entries in the Support Desk tracking system, which includes stating the issues, listing all troubleshooting steps, providing a resolution and marking the records as complete

Maintain a strong working knowledge of all the equipment and systems supported by the company. Keeping current with participating in continuing education programs

Utilize industry best practices to maintain computer systems security as established and support staff to rectify any noted deficiencies.

Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
 
Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
 
Monitor security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
 
Facilitates IT security audits or investigations
 
Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
 
Coordinates multisite IT systems via within enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment

Help DeskEnd-user support: person or via remote

Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff

Performs other related duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
    Hands on experience with networking, and hardware.  Understanding of basics of communications: serial devices, notworking, video surveillance. 

    Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems, proficient in Microsoft product offerings family
     
    3-5 years Production/Manufacturing/Office Experience
     
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
     
    Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

    Solid understanding of network communications, switches, and troubleshooting

    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization

    Partial travel 10 to 15 percent
     
Education / Training

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required; or equivalent work experience

 

Basic Understanding of SQL, Any EDI experience.

 

Knowledge with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning System)
